Anthony David Gonzalez was a tight end in American football that played in the National Football League. He played for 17 years in the field. Considered one of America's best tight ends ever and has the NFL record for the most receiving yards for all tight ends. He is third all-time in the number of receptions.
Former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports studio analyst. Gonzalez has been in FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's 1-hour NFL pregame broadcast prior to FOX NFL SUNRISE), which is broadcast every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire from the NFL after 2013 is not the case. The 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons a 2-year contract for 14 million dollars. Randy Moss retired in 2013 in 2013, and Gonzalez at 37 at the time spent the last year of his career in the position of being the NFL most prolific receiver of yards.
